The Sturgeon Family Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Rory Maguire as a Trustee on the Evaluation Committee. In this vital role, Rory will be responsible for evaluating and reviewing the charities proposed by the Identification Committee, ultimately deciding which organizations will receive grants and funding.
Rory Maguire: A Leader in Real Estate and Finance
Rory Maguire, Principal at CHC Development in Fort Worth, Texas, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Sturgeon Family Foundation. At CHC Development, Rory is responsible for reviewing and selecting real estate investment opportunities and all aspects of financing. He performs detailed financial analysis and guides the company in securing capital from debt and equity relationships, enabling CHC to act swiftly and confidently in pursuing new opportunities. Rory also handles contract negotiations with homebuilders, tenants, and property owners, contributing to CHC’s diverse portfolio, which includes office buildings, retail centers, residential developments, medical office buildings, and land investments.
Before founding CHC Development, Rory served as president of a Dallas-based real estate private equity firm. During his nearly five-year tenure, he played a key role in structuring, negotiating, and closing over $250 million in real estate equity investments across more than 90 projects nationwide. His leadership was instrumental in the firm’s expansion to Manhattan, London, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Rory’s career in real estate began in brokerage in Dallas, where he managed over 100 lease transactions and earned his broker license. He later transitioned to real estate development, successfully managing the entitlement, development, and acquisition or disposition of over 200,000 square feet of commercial space and more than 1,000 acres of undeveloped land in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Educational Background and Personal Life
Rory Maguire graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA in Marketing and magna cum laude with a M.S. in Real Estate Finance. He resides in Fort Worth with his wife and enjoys cooking, traveling, and sailing in his free time.
