Howard Hines, Director of Long Term Disaster Recovery for the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, brings extensive experience in strategic planning, nonprofit leadership, and disaster recovery to the Sturgeon Family Foundation. As a seasoned professional, Howard has dedicated his career to helping communities recover and rebuild in the aftermath of disasters.
Howard’s passion for helping others is evident in his work as a case manager for the Louisiana Conference’s disaster relief efforts. He has been instrumental in guiding storm survivors through the complex process of long-term recovery, providing crucial support and empowerment to those in need. His empathetic approach and unwavering commitment to making a difference have earned him a reputation as a trusted leader in disaster recovery.

Before joining the Louisiana Conference, Howard served as a Development Officer for Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services and as a Claim Representative for State Farm Insurance. His diverse background in both nonprofit and corporate sectors has equipped him with the skills needed to navigate and manage complex challenges effectively.
