The Sturgeon Family Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Gloria Starling to the Charity Identification Committee. In this key role, Gloria will be responsible for identifying and proposing worthy causes that align with the foundation’s mission, presenting these potential beneficiaries to the Evaluation Committee for grant and funding decisions.

Gloria Starling brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to community service to the Sturgeon Family Foundation. As the Managing Partner at The Capital Grille Fort Worth, Gloria has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the hospitality industry. Her dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences and her passion for culinary excellence have earned her numerous accolades, including the Darden Diamond Club 2016 award and the Texas Restaurant Association’s 2015 Outstanding Restauranteur honor.

Professional Background

Gloria has been with The Capital Grille for nearly 18 years, holding various leadership roles including Hospitality Manager, Wine Director and Service Manager, and Sales and Marketing Manager. Her ability to cultivate a positive team environment and her focus on continuous improvement have been pivotal to her success.

Community Involvement and Recognition

Gloria is deeply committed to giving back to the community. She has been actively involved with numerous charitable organizations, such as the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth, Tarrant County Food Bank, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her leadership extends to supporting local school culinary teams, inspiring future chefs and restaurant managers. Gloria’s dedication to philanthropy has been recognized by several prestigious awards, including the Fort Worth Business Press “Top 20 Emerging Women of Texas” and the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “Business Woman of the Year” in 2014.
